Pianist, comedian, actor, writer, and Sirius/XM radio host Seth Rudetsky is a beloved icon in the Broadway world, renowned for his lasting connections with countless luminaries. In this captivating evening, Seth is joined by Broadway actors Gay Willis (Phantom of the Opera, Showboat) and Jelani Remy (The Lion King, Ain’t Too Proud) to shine a spotlight on the untold stories of Broadway’s queer pioneers, characters, and songs, revealing their profound impact on the Broadway we know and love today. Don’t miss this joyous celebration of the LGBTQ+ community!

Meet the Artists

Seth Rudetsky

Seth Rudetsky is an American musician, actor, writer, and radio host. He is currently the host of Seth’s Big Fat Broadway and Seth Speaks on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio’s On Broadway. The show focuses on Rudetsky’s knowledge of Broadway theatre history and trivia.

Rudetsky was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, and began his musical training at a young age. He graduated from Oberlin Conservatory with a degree in Piano Performance. After graduating, he moved to New York City to pursue a career in music.

Rudetsky has worked as a pianist and musical director for a number of Broadway shows, including Ragtime, Les Misérables, and The Phantom of the Opera. He has also performed in a number of shows, including Forbidden Broadway and Disaster!.

In addition to his work on stage, Rudetsky is also a popular radio host. He has been hosting Seth’s Big Fat Broadway on Sirius/XM since 2009. The show features Rudetsky interviewing Broadway stars and sharing his insights on Broadway history and trivia.

Rudetsky is also a prolific writer. He has written a number of books, including Seth’s Broadway Diary: How I Went from Broadway Obsessed to Broadway Blessed and Broadway Nights: Backstage Secrets, Opening Nights, and Lessons Learned Along the Way.

Gay Willis

Award-winning soprano Gay Willis is best known for her starring roles as Magnolia in Hal Prince’s Showboat and Christine Daae in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera. Gay won critical acclaim in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber World Tour with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. Her moving performances of Pie Jesu (Requiem) received rave reviews. She went on to star as Christine Daae opposite Colm Wilkinson in Phantom of the Opera.

Gay received the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Actress for her portal of Magnolia Ravenal in Hal Prince’s Tony Award winning revival of Showboat on Broadway, Chicago, and on tour completing over 1000 performances. She got to share the stage with legends Cloris Leachman, Anita Gilette, Elaine Stritch, Dorothy Loudon, Marilyn McCoo, Dick and Joyce Van Patten, Pat Harrington, John McMartin, and Dean Jones. Willis’ Magnolia ages from bubbly ingenue to knowing matron and mother with great finesse and a strong emotional edge”. Variety. Other roles include Rapunzel in Into the Woods 1st National Tour w/ Cleo Laine, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance (Carbonell Best Actress Award), Maria West Side Story, Bloomer Girl at City Center, 4 sold out concerts at Carnegie Hall with the PBS special From Galway to Broadway ,SO MANY benefit concerts with Seth Rudetsky!, Funny Girl, Nothing Like a Dame (raves from Liz Smith NY Post), Stars in the House, Concert for America with Barry Manilow, Westbury Music Fair… and most recently Madame (Evil Step Mother) in Cinderella at Theatre By the Sea!


Summer Season Shuttle / Take the FREE shuttle from Metro North’s Katonah train station to and from Caramoor! The shuttle runs before and after every summer afternoon and evening concert. No need to RSVP to get on the shuttle, it will be there when you arrive (in the parking lot side of the station). And if it’s not there, that means that it just left and will be back in 5-10 minutes!

Rain or Shine / All events at Caramoor take place rain or shine. If there is dangerous weather, we will move all concerts under our Venetian Theater tent and/or in the Music Room of the Rosen House.
