Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Rosen House is a work of living history. Discover the home that Caramoor founders Lucie and Walter Rosen built as an ephemeral escape for their family, friends, and colleagues.
Our knowledgeable guides will take you on a captivating journey of the home’s evolution, design, and many rare artworks and artifacts. Tours are approximately 45 minutes.

Caramoor & World War II
In honor of Caramoor’s 80th anniversary season—and the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory—this year’s Rosen House Focus Tour is Caramoor & World War II. The joys and tragedies of the war years deeply impacted both the Rosen family and the Caramoor community. Without the events of 1941–1945, however, Caramoor would not be the special place it is today. We invite you to discover the personal experiences of the Rosen family and their friends, see artworks not usually on view, and hear about the wartime benefit dance under the stars, among many other stories.
