Tea is served in the Music Room, a unique opportunity for you to relax with friends and family in a historic setting, featuring a large portrait of Caramoor’s founder, Lucie Rosen. This special tea includes a variety of tea sandwiches, scones with créme fraiche and preserves, and a selection of Chinese sweets and fragrant teas.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year, you are invited to view a stunning collection of Chinese art, including the magnificent jade screen. The screen, intricately carved, depicts the Hills of Immortality and tells the tale of the Eight Immortals, figures from Chinese mythology who represent prosperity, longevity, and good health. Discover more about this highlight of the Rosen House collection and its connection to ancient traditions and the blessings of the New Year. Preceding the tea, docent-led tours are available by appointment only; they tend to fill up quickly, so be sure to book in advance.
