The Caramoor Board of Trustees and staff of Caramoor note the October 8, 2017 passing of former Trustee Ms. Ruth Schloss Stanton (1930-2017).
A Trustee in the early 1990s, Ms. Stanton was a generous donor to the Caramoor Garden Guild and Caramoor’s many benefits and initiatives, especially Caramoor’s capital projects. Ms. Stanton’s legacy is still seen at Caramoor today. When you see our musicians performing seated on black musician chairs in the Venetian Theater or any of our other venues, you are seeing the result of a generous gift made with her son Oliver, via the Ruth and Oliver Stanton Foundation.
We thank her for important impact on Caramoor and send our condolences to her son Oliver and her extended family.
