In our new Caramoor Conversations series, pianist Lara Downes interviews musicians who are performing at Caramoor this summer. In this episode, Lara interviews bassoonist Monica Ellis of the Imani Winds, who will be performing at Caramoor on July 14th. In this short interview, Monica and Lara talk about the very interesting pieces being performed on their program, and why presenting a program of all-female composers shouldn't be big news.
