Caramoor mourns the death of Claude Frank, a great pianist and pedagogue and a lovely human being. We extend our deepest sympathies to his daughter, Pamela Frank, a close and cherished member of the Caramoor family.
It was our delight to welcome Claude to the Music Room this past October to listen, one last time, to the exquisite music performed by the 2014 Evnin Rising Stars and Pam, under her artistic direction, knowing how much it meant to both of them.
Claude’s legacy endures through the work of his very accomplished students, the artistry of the many musicians whose lives he touched, and the memories of many listeners who were privileged to attend his performances. As Pam, and all of his colleagues and students can attest, Claude was a real mensch. He will be missed.
