Rosen House Studio Nights: Winter Wreath-Making

Abby Blatte grew up in the Detroit metro and moved to New York City in 2015 after earning a BA in English lit and spending a year abroad in China. Her early career was rooted in design, working across interiors, styling, and color consulting, where she developed an understanding of the relationship between proportion, material, and color.

Through her work in interiors, she found her way to flowers and completed the Floral Design certificate at the New York Botanical Garden. She continues to refine her practice through ongoing study, including the principles of ikebana, which inform her approach to balance, line, and negative space. Her pieces are informed by her background in design and her love of literature and the natural world. She creates florals that feel thoughtful and tell a story, but aren’t overdone. Where color, form, and narrative come together in an intuitive rather than overly polished way.

She works across weddings and events, studio and freelance support, and collaborations. Her work includes arrangements, installations, and special projects, with opportunities for workshops and teaching. LEARN MORE.
