At the heart of the historic Rosen House, the Music Room is a soaring yet intimate space used for chamber music, recitals, American roots music and jazz performances, as well as lectures and Caramoor's popular Afternoon Teas. You’ll find yourself surrounded with Renaissance furniture, stained glass windows and architectural elements the Rosens collected and installed in this unique space. Only covered beverages are permitted inside during performances.

Overview
California siblings Sean and Sara Watkins have factored into some of the most accomplished and creative ensembles of the last two decades (Nickel Creek, I’m With Her), in addition to their own solo albums. Now they’re bringing their duo, Watkins Family Hour, to the Rosen House Music Room for Caramoor’s annual Rosen House Benefit Concert. Born out of their legendary residency at Los Angeles’s Largo nightclub, the two multi-instrumentalists translate the intimacy of a front-porch picking party into an Americana masterclass. Featuring virtuosic interplay, soulful harmonies, and an ever-evolving repertoire, the Watkins siblings capture the essence of American roots music.

Tickets for the benefit concert begin at $125.
Top level ticket holders ($500 and up) are invited to a post-concert reception with the artist.
A pre-concert Benefit Dinner also offers a way to support Caramoor in an even more meaningful way. Enjoy a three-course meal, fine wine, and conversation with our most ardent supporters. Michelin-starred chef Andrea Calstier of La Bastide by Andrea Calstier and Cenadou will create and prepare the meal for this special occasion. Watkins Family Hour is a collaborative musical project founded by musicians and siblings Sara Watkins and Sean Watkins and traditionally held at beloved Los Angeles club Largo. Since the first Watkins Family Hour show in 2002, the duo has released three studio albums, debuting with their self-titled album in 2015, following with Brother Sister in 2020 and Vol. II in August 2022. Sean and Sara recorded Vol. II at Los Angeles’s East West Studios in early 2022 alongside a stacked roster of longtime and new Family Hour collaborators, including Fiona Apple, Jackson Browne, Madison Cunningham, Lucius, Jon Brion and more.
As both Sean and Sara continue to work on their own solo music, as well as with their other bands like Nickel Creek and I’m With Her, Watkins Family Hour remains an invaluable resource and respite for them both, offering a familiar but ever-evolving space to test new ideas, meet new collaborators and, most importantly, have a good time doing what they love.
Chef Andrea Calstier
Born and raised in Marseille, Chef Andrea Calstier’s cooking is deeply rooted in the soulful, sun-soaked traditions of Provence—shaped by a reverence for terroir, seasonality, and thoughtful restraint. He began cooking professionally at just 15, training in some of France’s most esteemed Michelin-starred kitchens, including Restaurant Christophe Bacquié in Le Castellet and L’Abbaye de la Bussière in Burgundy. His pursuit of excellence later brought him to New York, where he refined his skills under Chef Daniel Boulud at the acclaimed Restaurant Daniel.
Andrea and his high school sweetheart, now wife and business partner Elena Oliver, have been working side by side ever since their early days in New York City, where they opened Papilles, a warmly received French fine dining restaurant in the East Village. Their next chapter brought them to North Salem, where they created Cenadou Bistrotand La Bastide by Andrea Calstier—two distinct yet deeply personal dining experiences under one roof. Designed entirely by the couple, from the Italian leather chairs to Marseille-forged knives and hand-thrown ceramics, both spaces reflect their shared vision and devotion to hospitality.
At La Bastide, Andrea offers his most refined work to date. The six-table restaurant earned a Michelin star in under a year, recognized for its soulful, elegant tasting menus that blend classical French technique with the seasonal bounty of the Hudson Valley. The wine list features one of the largest selections of Provençal wines in the country, curated to reflect the restaurant’s deep connection to Southern France.
“We wanted the new restaurants to truly reflect who we are at our core,” Andrea says. “Every aspect—from the food to the ambiance—is a genuine expression of our deep love for Provence, its culinary traditions, and the warm, relaxed lifestyle of the French South.”
