Due to illness, Sierra Boggess is unable to join us for Cabaret in the Music Room this Saturday, October 22. In her place, we are excited to welcome Tony Award-nominee Tony Yazbeck!
Actor, singer, and tap-dancer extraordinaire, Tony Yazbeck returns to Caramoor for this special benefit concert! Most recently seen in the musical Flying Over Sunset at Lincoln Center, Yazbeck is also known for his principal roles on Broadway in Finding Neverland, Gypsy, Chicago, A Chorus Line, and Oklahoma. We are excited to bring his classic showmanship, tap-dancing, and charming stage presence back to the Music Room for a live audience, following the streamed all-Gershwin program he did with Laura Osnes in 2020.
This benefit concert supports Caramoor’s music programming throughout the year. All but $50 of each ticket is tax-deductible.
Caramoor thanks The Adela and Lawrence Elow Fund for The Great American Songbook: 1900 to 1960 for preserving and sustaining classic American songs through live performances.
Jerry Korman, Music Director
“Tony Yazbeck is a rarity in show business. He’s a complete, romantic dancing actor, or acting dancer. Like such hallowed predecessors as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, he’s as expressive with his twirls and jetés as he is with his face and voice, bringing balletic wonder to ordinary rituals of love and courtship.”The New York Times
