Rosen House Tea

Afternoon Tea was one of the English traditions Lucie Rosen, founder of Caramoor, enjoyed during her time living in England in the early 1910s. She kept up the practice of inviting friends and guests to tea for many years, using the time for conversation and for planning concerts and other social events.

Tea is served in the Music Room, a unique opportunity for you to relax with friends and family in a breathtaking historic setting, featuring a large portrait of Lucie herself. The service includes a variety of tea sandwiches, scones with créme fraiche and preserves, delicious desserts, and a selection of fragrant teas. Please scroll down to see the menus we offer!

Kathleen McKenna Schoen, MS, holds a Masters in Nutrition from New York Medical College and CNS certification from The Certification Board for Nutrition Specialist. 

For over 30 years Kathleen has been focusing on an integrative approach to nutrition beginning her career at New York Physicians focusing on overall health, diabetes, metabolic disorders and hypertension. Through the years she has been on the board of Better School focusing on improving the quality of school food, promoting farm-to-table programs and school gardens.  In 2014 she co-founded ULIVjava in partnership with Martha Stewart to create a company that focused on healthy, great-tasting, organic coffee products that are infused with green tea and adaptogens.  As co-founder and Chief of Development Kathleen created all ULIVjava products that were sold at Whole Foods across the country and many retail locations.  Kathleen is now focused on serving the local community by working at The Community Center of Northern Westchester helping to reduce hunger for local families while teaching local residents nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve their health.  

Through the years Kathleen has been certified with Mederi Academy in Mederi Care/ETMS in health optimization, botanicals and the treatment of many health conditions.  She also trained with The American Institute of Integrative Oncology and has a Professional Cancer Coach certification.
