NOTTE ITALIANA AT CARAMOOR
On Saturday, May 17th, the Rosen House at Caramoor held a benefit and exhibition preview party "Notte Italiana" to unveil its new exhibition A Journey in Maiolica: Italian Renaissance to American Contemporary and to launch the new season at the Rosen House. The event was held in the magnificent Music Room, Dining room and Summer Dining Room. The evening included a preview of the exhibition with guest curator, Liz Quackenbush. The baritone Paul LaRosa sung a few Italian arias, followed by a delicious dinner, prepared by Ann Neto Catering, and then dancing.
The event's Honorary Chairs were Gianna and Chazz Palminteri, who graced the guests with a song to great applause. The Co-chairs were Barbara DuPont and Nina Stanton. The event raised $78,000 to help with the continued efforts for the conservation and restoration of the magnificent mansion and its collection, as well as the programs at the Rosen House.

2008 OPENING NIGHT GALA CONCERT and BENEFIT
The Caramoor International Music Festival launched its summer season with a gala evening in a “garden of great music.” The 63rd annual summer festival opened Saturday, June 21 in the Venetian Theater in Katonah, NY with Michael Barrett leading the Orchestra of St. Luke's with guest artists Alisa Weilerstein, cello; Igor Begelman, clarinet; and Jon Kimura Parker, piano, playing works by Copland, Bernstein, Fauré, and Gershwin.
The Opening Night Gala honorees were long-time advocates for the American arts in Paris, Judith and Samuel Pisar. Co-chairs were Patricia and Edward Falkenberg, and Pamela and John Hervey. Gala attendees helped raise over $600,000 to support and sustain Caramoor’s artist endeavors and to keep Caramoor a vital and beautiful place to be enjoyed by the broadest audience possible.
